ECOPARQUE LOS ALCAZARES

Ecoparque los Alcazares is a 36 hectare park within the municipality of Manizales that was founded in 1995. The park has an observation tower that allows us great opportunities to view many species and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Target species here include: Red-headed barbet, Flame-rumped Tanager, and the endemic Bar-crested Antshrike. Other birds we might encounter include Bay-breasted Tanager, Emerald Toucanet, Golden-olive woodpecker, Golden-faced Tyrannulet, Yellow-bellied Siskin and Streaked Saltator. Northerm migrants are plentiful and include Summer Tanager, Black and White Warbler, Blackburnian Warbler and others.
